THE EASTLEIGH RAMBLERS
Jokes, laughter, a helping hand
All are friendly - a happy band
Fresh air, flowers, sun and rain
Aching calfs - lower back pain
We are the Eastleigh Ramblers
Heavy rucksacks, mud and stiles
The nearest pub is not for miles
Animals in fields scare us half to death
Afraid to go in ... No ... Merely catching our breath
We are the Eastleigh Ramblers
Huffing and puffing up the hill
We will enjoy this -
we will - we will!!There’ll be a super view when we reach the peak
Our minds are willing but our legs are weak
We are the Eastleigh Ramblers
Into the bushes - out of sight
Men to the left, women to the right
Glimpses of lace - pink and baby blue
Don’t tell the women - they’ll want some too!!??!!
We are the Eastleigh Ramblers
The walk is all over, there’s the car park
Oooooooh that was a marathon it’s almost dark
We all stagger home stiff and sore
But we’ll be back next week -
cos we want more!!We are the Eastleigh Ramblers
