The Eastleigh Group Rucksack Badge, was produced in 2001 and is now one third cheaper thanks to a decision of the Executive Committee on 24 November 2004.

A new stock was ordered following a decision by the Executive Committee on 14 April 2004 and they are now available from Dave Jupp, 16 Market Buildings, High Road, Southampton SO16 2HX at a cost of £2 per badge. Send Dave  a cheque  made payable to "The Eastleigh Group of the Ramblers' Association" and a stamp addressed envelope.
The design is by Colin Cobbold and was selected after a competition amongst members. It features a steam railway engine wheel because of Eastleigh's history as a railway junction town and major engine and repair workshops and tucked into the wheel is a footpath signpost, walking boots and a compass.
